Quality in Cornwall - Awards - Walker Friendly

Any Quality in Cornwall inspected business wishing to participate will need to provide following facilities and services to their guests in order for the above logo to be displayed.
Storage, Equipment and Services

A drying room for the sole use of outdoor clothes and footwear. This room needs to be warm, dry and large enough to store all outdoor clothing and boots that a walking party will have.
Provision for cleaning muddy boots and outdoor clothes, including access to a water supply and cleaning materials.
First aid kit to be available.
Wi-Fi access available to all guests at all times. This service needs to be advertised, including any charges.
Self-catering properties
- need to provide a washing machine and clothes drying facilities. Ideally an outside washing line and a tumble dryer, but a washing line is sufficient as a minimum.
- guests need to have full access to a washing machine and drying facilities, as for self-catering OR a full overnight washing and drying service to be provided and advertised.
- a packed breakfast/lunch to be available and advertised.

All services provided by the business for walkers must be advertised on their website and other advertising material on which the Walkers Friendly logo appears.
Relevant maps and books suitable for walking in the local area.
Local information including; location of banks and cashpoints, details of local restaurants and cafes, local taxi companies and local outdoor equipment shops.
Assessment for the “Walker Friendly” award must be booked in conjunction with
an annual Quality in Cornwall inspection visit.
An annual fee of £15 will be charged
